On April 24, 2020, the Ministry of Health issued Resolution 666 adopting the general biosecurity protocol to mitigate, control and adequately manage the COVID – 19 Coronavirus pandemic.
In compliance with the recommendations made by the International Labour Organization, the objective is to protect workers, employers, and their families from the health risks posed by the COVID-19 coronavirus. Consequently, employers are obligated to provide and maintain a work environment with appropriate hygiene and safety conditions, and to establish work methods that minimize health risks within the production process.
Therefore, the general biosecurity protocol is adopted for all economic and social activities, as well as public administration sectors. This protocol entails a series of obligations for both employers and employees, which must be strictly followed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and avoid potential sanctions for the company.
